All orthoptists working for Adelaide Orthoptics have to be registered with the Australia Orthoptic Board, as well as be members of Orthoptics Australia Our team are all experienced in assessment and conservative management of children and adults with strabismus (crossed/turned eyes), amblyopia (“lazy vision”), eye movement issues, double vision, binocular vision issues (“eye strain”) and patients with additional needs who find standard eye assessment complex.

biography

Natalie has been working for Adelaide Orthoptics since our opening in 2017. She is a British-trained orthoptist, qualifying from the University of Liverpool in 2008.

Natalie enjoys working with patients of all ages and abilities, and spends the majority of her clinical time working with children’s eye issues and adults who have double vision.

She also is trained in the use of the Goldmann visual field and vision training for ‘hemianopia’ (half of visual field missing) post-stroke known as Peli Prisms.

biography

Carrie has been working for Adelaide Orthoptics since our opening in 2017. Carrie completed a Medical Science degree in Orthoptics at Sheffield University and this was followed by a Masters of Health Studies from the University of Liverpool. She is a highly experienced orthoptist having worked extensively in the UK before relocating to South Australia. She has a great deal of experience working in many aspects of orthoptics and enjoys both adult and paediatric work.

biography

Gulsah qualified as an Orthoptist in 2013 from Latrobe University in Melbourne. She relocated to Queensland shortly after graduating, gaining experience in general ophthalmology. In 2015, she moved to Adelaide to pursue her passion in both paediatric and adult strabismus. Her key areas of interest are adult patients suffering from double vision and eye strain issues, as well as all childhood eye conditions including crossed eyes and lazy vision.
